By 1865, he was Master of the 344 ton barque Caesarea, owned by Peter Briard, on a voyage from the Philippines, with a cargo of sugar: A.G. He died in 1871 and was subsequently commemorated in Pocasset Cemetery, Providence, Rhode Island, in the United States of America, where his brother, widow, son and other members of the family were buried
